About the lab

Two coaches. One belief.

We built The Transition Lab because we kept watching brilliant women of color try to navigate transitions alone — in rooms that couldn't hold them, with frameworks that weren't built for them. We made the room we wished we'd had.

Coach

Lourdes Laguna

ICF-ACC Coach · Strengths-Based

Lourdes is a strengths-based coach who works with women navigating identity, career, and life transitions. She brings a quiet, exacting attention to what's present — and helps clients build from it.

Her work draws on years inside organizations and outside of them, watching what gets in the way of women of color making the moves they want to make.

Coach

Meris E. Stone

ICF-ACC Coach · Career & Leadership

Meris is a career and leadership coach with deep experience helping women of color step into roles, decisions, and lives that fit. She works with both structure and care, and she doesn't let her clients shrink.

She brings sharp pattern recognition, a sense of humor, and the kind of presence that makes hard conversations land softer.

Our approach

Built for the room you wished existed.

We don't run a program where women of color have to translate themselves first. Everything — the structure, the prompts, the cohort composition, the pace — is designed for you to be fully here.

We believe transitions aren't problems to fix. They're invitations to listen more carefully. We hold the structure so you can do that listening — and then move from reflection to clarity to action.

And we believe in community. Six sessions, one cohort, real conversation, and accountability within the room. What comes out of it tends to last well past the final session.
